Sugargoo costs: five photos, a hundred days, two thousand routes
Two numbers define how Sugargoo works in practice: five free inspection photographs, and roughly a hundred days of free storage. The first gives you time to check properly; the second gives you time to wait for the right route out of a catalogue running into the thousands. This page covers the money in between — marketplace price, domestic hop, freight, Sugargoo's fee, duty — and hands you a calculator at the end.
← Back to overviewThe money, briefly
Marketplace price, domestic hop, freight, service fee, duty. Rates are not printed because your parcel, route and country set them; Sugargoo's estimator has the live figures.
- Marketplace pricepaid at order time, refunded if the seller never dispatches
- Domestic hopa small flat amount to reach the consolidation warehouse
- Freightchosen from a very large route catalogue, priced on chargeable weight
- Dutyyour threshold decides, and route choice can affect how it is assessed
Sugargoo revises fees, the free-photo allowance and storage terms. Its pages govern.
What five free photographs buy you
Five images at no charge is enough to check properly rather than glance. Work them in order: colour against the listing, visible faults, the size tag against your own measurements, seam work, and whether the variant is the one you picked. Anything still unclear is worth a sixth request.
- · Colour, compared with the listing rather than the render
- · Visible defects: marks, pulls, scuffs and faulty hardware
- · The size tag, checked against your own measurements
- · Seam and stitch alignment along the usual failure points
- · That the variant and colourway are the ones ordered
- · Quantity, when you ordered more than one unit
- · Fabric hand, drape and real weight in use
- · Odour, the most common gap between photo and parcel
- · Whether fastenings and elastic survive months of wear
- · Colour in daylight, never under the warehouse lamps
- · Whether it fits, which no photograph can establish for you
Five photographs settle the left column. The right column needs the parcel open.
- Use all five. They are free; a sixth angle usually is too.
- Wait for the route, not just the item.A hundred days of storage is for finding the right line, not for dithering.
- Flag anything while the parcel is still held.Free inside the warehouse, costly after dispatch.
- Save what you approved. The reference if the parcel turns up different.
Two thousand routes, one decision
Route choice follows inspection, and the catalogue is large enough that choosing well takes a few minutes. Sugargoo's lines differ on price, transit time and what they carry, and chargeable weight — the greater of actual and volumetric — decides what you actually pay.
With this many routes, there is usually one that fits an awkward parcel. Look before settling.
Actual or volumetric, whichever is greater. Compress before submitting.
Holding goods lets you wait for a better line instead of taking the first.
Batteries, liquids, aerosols and branded goods differ route by route.
Customs handling is not part of the quoted transit window.
Worth it once a parcel holds a month of orders.

Fees, line by line
Run your own figures
Type in marketplace price, domestic hop, packed weight, the international rate for your line, Sugargoo's service fee and the exchange rate. Every row recalculates live.
A planning figure. Chargeable weight, destination, customs and carrier pricing move the real amount, and Sugargoo's estimator may quote differently at checkout.
Returns, refunds and Sugargoo's prohibited list
Sugargoo publishes after-sales terms and a prohibited list. Read the clause covering your category before paying — restricted goods cannot be forwarded.
